PRE Trade Manager

Job Description
  • Assist TNM manager to develop business plan & cascade target and budget to achieve a satisfied country performance scorecard target aligned with PRE own business plan.
  • Work together with TNM manager and sales to deliver PRE volume & yield/revenue targets and increase PRE market share.
  • Executing pricing related strategy to drive PRE export volume. Ensure pricing are complying with the pricing guideline from HQ Revenue Managers and Trade Managers, work closely with local sales to know the market deeply with necessary analysis reporting to the management, set appropriate pricing strategy to drive the volume to maximize the profitability and fully utilize all the on hand assets.
  • Work together within TNM team to optimize capacity utilization to fill up the ships by profitable cargo.
  • Provide country manager and TNM manager report figures visibilities related to commercial and capacity together with constructive proposal and analysis.
  • Explore landside and logistics opportunities with E2E solutions providing to our customers.
  • Other marketing tasks such like branding promotion, event coordination, Wechat promotion, etc.

Key responsibilities

Trade and Pricing Management
  • Pricing strategy setup for certain trades to boost the volume and enlarge the market share.
  • Build up the bridge between HQ RM/TM and local sales to make sure pricing strategy to be aligned to get the wanted business.
  • Timely give guidance to front line sales with clear selling direction by necessary report analytics.
  • Clear customer segmentation set up with sales and timely monitor on the performance.
  • Drive GRI (General Rate Increase) on every possible chance with clear guidance on timing and implementation.
  • Guide sales to sell regarding to the cost picture and profitability with clear directions on main strings.
. Improve export volumes to niche ports with specific target on volume increase as well as profit increase, monthly analysis sharing to all the stakeholders on the progress.
  • Involve target setting on certain trades discussion with sales.
  • Deployment study with specific analysis with figures and proposals to HQ and support local sales for new business development.
  • Tier accounts performance measurement with timely sharing and adjustment.
  • NVOCC SOC volume drive to balance with COC.
  • Special equipment promotion including OOG, 45', reefer volume drive to achieve the target.
  • Acted as trade manager to provide visibility on customs data analysis, competitors, commodity and customers related reporting, target setting and performance measurement sharing to all stakeholders to drive volume, and to enlarge market share
  • Set clear strategy on weekly basis to maximize vessel utilization with proper guidance on cargo mix to maximize profitability on each vessel.
  • Guide and assist sales on business development to explore landside and logistics opportunities with instant sharing on resources and always offering support when required.

Report and Analyze
  • Provide country manager and key stakeholders the valid analyze base on reports, pick up signals, messages and information out of report figures, support country manager and TNM manager on decision making by valuable inputs after report analyze.

We are looking for

  • Strong business, customer and Intra-Asia market understanding.
  • Experience in line management.
  • Experience in pricing management is preferred.
  • Result oriented.
  • Strong analytical capability and high data quality.
  • An understanding of third party feeder business and relationship with Main Line Operators is preferred
  • Good communication skills
