The plant manager is responsible for the daily management of a new blending and packaging facility at Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province. This is a hands-on position that is responsible for the development of team capability and procedures to increase productivity, assure quality and establish a safe and legally compliant workplace. This important position oversees plant operations with production, scheduling, engineering maintenance, EHS and warehousing etc.

Responsibilities:

• Understand safety is the number one goal and ensure the plant operation act in a safe manner at all time
• Provide hands on leadership and management of the blending and packaging operations to ensure the product availability, optimized production costs and top-level product quality
• Develop best-in-class operational performance through standardization, productivity metrics system, continuous improvement, and implementation of industry best practices
• Develop and execute the blending and packaging manufacturing strategy, monitor manufacturing progress against targets and objectives
• Develop the plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
• Work with Product Management, Sourcing, Technical, Quality, Commercial Teams to commercialize new products
• Create a high-performance working environment, oversee the interview, hiring and training of new employees with the assistance of the corporate human resources department during the plant startup
• Drive the IATF 16949 standard and system, champion and offer support for all TS certification and Lean activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline;
• 10+ years' experience in managing the blending and packaging operations, experiecne gained in Lubricant, chemical, FMCG, paints or related industries;

• Proven leadership experience in the people management and process improvement in manufacturing environment;
• Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills;
• Strong understanding of budgetary development and management;
• Strong organization skills, Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Able to work independently with integrity;

• Experience in IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certification at plant

• Proficient computer skills
