In terms of personal development, this position polishes your ability to deliver results through internal and external stakeholders, build on procurement and project management skills, which in this case are several and complex.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage procurement requirements and projects with key responsibility for selected portfolio including negotiations, development and implementation of sourcing strategies and driving category excellence.
  • Support cross-portfolio/category projects requiring additional resource
  • Deliver procurement benefits and compliance (realised savings, service level improvements, responsible procurement etc.) and make sure these are realised through measurement and follow-up
  • Cooperating closely with colleagues and stakeholders in different departments of LOC, Country clusters, Service centres, amongst others in driving procurement success and ensuring smooth upstream and downstream related processes
  • Resolve supplier performance, contractual or compliance issues with key stakeholders where issues are a continuous or significant nature.

We are looking for

We are now looking for a Junior Portfolio Manager within the procurement team, who has a good understanding of Maersk Line’s strategy and business drivers. Experience in operations and procurement is an advantage when applying and combined with awareness of cost drivers will be highly valued in the selection process. It is necessary to possess 1 or more years of experience within shipping. The individual we are looking for must have strong analytical, project management skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills through which he or she will engage a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders in LOC and Center. The person should work independently within defined boundaries and guidelines in specific area, but will need supervision on more complex assignments.
