What are my responsibilities?

• To be responsible for the power electronics design of DC EVSE products (e.g. AC/DC module in ~kW) based on the clarification to customer requirement and use cases
• Follow product requirement, define hardware engineering specification and validation plan.
• To be responsible for (power electronics) concept design, detail design and design validation.  Complete design reviews to meet project schedule.
• To be responsible for PCBA development and support cross-function teams to launch mass production on schedule.   
• To be responsible for PCBA RCA and support cross-function teams to identify quality issue timely.   
• Support test engineer on product validation/certification.
• Support test engineer on PCBA ICT/FCT development.
• Support test engineer on product EOL FT development.
• Support business team in technical clarification with customers during RFI and RFQ.
• Support purchasing team in technical clarification with suppliers.

What do I need to qualify for this job? 

• Bachelor or master degree major in power electronics, electronic engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent; More than 5 years of working experience in power electronics design.
• Hands-on experience on kw AC/DC, DC/AC inverter development.
• Solid experience on power electronics design and proficient in using power electronics design/simulation tools like SPICE, Saber, matlab. In-depth knowledge of power conversion.
• Deep understanding of DFX (DFR, DFM, DFT…)
• Solid experience on digital / analog circuit design.
• Solid experience on for 8/16/32 bits micro controller and DSP design;
• Solid experience on loop analysis, loss analysis.
• Solid experience on magnetic components (power inductors/transformers) design.
• Solid experience on EMI/EMC issue debug and improvement.
• Hands on experience on EV OBC, HV DC/DC development is highly preferred;
• Hands on experience on solar inverter is highly preferred.
• Hands on experience on DC wall box power module development is highly preferred;
• Experience on different communication technology (e.g. CAN, PLC, Ethernet, BLE, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, 4G) is an advantage.
• Experience on FPGA is an advantage;
• Experience on signal processing is an advantage;
• Experience in automotive industry is an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, Good verbal and written English, CET4 above. Be adaptive to conference call during night time with global teams.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on extended assignments. Excellent team player. Quick learner and keen problem solver.
