About the Position
The position offers the opportunity to apply and further hone skills in requirements analysis as well as technical and functional design when implementing solutions for Oracle’s Cloud and On Premise customers. Successful candidates will possess solid experience in creating functional designs from business requirements and translating functional designs into detailed technical specifications using industry aligned methodologies. Prior experience in building efficient and quality code translated from solution driven designs is required.
Primary Requirements
- Legal eligibility to work in the Philippines is required.
- Experience in Oracle Utilities products or similar applications is a strong advantage (e.g. Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Meter Data Management (MDM)).
- Technical experience in Java design/development is required.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer business requirements specifications into high level design specifications within agreed time frames.
- Apply industry and product knowledge to produce solutions that meet client business requirements and provide for future flexibility
- Create detailed technical design specifications from high level design specifications.
- Work with Project Management, Architects and Designers to develop estimates and/or a project plan for software development effort.
- Conduct and participate in design discussions with architects, designers, developers, and possibly customers. Facilitate the clarification of design issues as they arise during the development process.
- Ensure the quality of one’s own and/or a project team’s deliverables through adherence to project standards and methodologies. Perform quality assurance reviews of the work of a development team.
- Drive a project team's release activities and the review/sign-off of release deliverables, including execution of verification testing.
- Provide team leadership, coaching, and mentoring of junior developers and designers.

Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.!|!
