Principal Consultant - Ordering & Service Orchestration, Communications Applications Global Business Unit (CAGBU)

This Ordering and Service Management (OSM) Consulting Subject Matter Expert (SME) position provides an opportunity for the candidate to excel at being an OSS Architect working on multiple Oracle Communications OSS Stack of products.

Overview:

An experienced telecom consulting professional with prior Design and Development experience on Oracle OSM and related tools and technologies.  In this role, the Oracle OSS Consultant will provide quality design and implementation work on products and offer OSM oriented solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in OSM 7.3.x and above, including at least 3 years as a consultant
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Telecom Domain/Industry
  • Ability to implement the products and solutions involving OSS products, namely, RODOD, SNO
  • Code build and deployment of the completed code into the development and testing environment
  • Should be able to translate the requirements in the HLD into effective solution
  • Good knowledge on preparing Design documents like HLD, LLD and other project related documentation
  • Hands-on experience in OSM installation - standalone as well as HA (high availability) cluster and have good knowledge on troubleshooting the installation and configuration issues
  • Deep experience in UNIX / LINUX environment / Unix Shell Scripts
  • Possess awareness of TMF/eTOM, SID Data Model
  • Strong knowledge of OSS domain such as Wireless, Cable, DSL, VoIP, Pots, IPTV
  • Done at minimum five mid-size or three large implementations in any of these Oracle OSS products
  • Played a developer or technical lead role in at least two implementations
  • Hands-on implementation and working knowledge in OSM around Orchestration, Decomposition, Fulfillment Patterns, Workflows including static processes, Rules, Tasks, Order Change Management, OSM GUI, Design Studio Cartridge Modeling and Integration with upstream and downstream systems
  • Conceptual model, O2A and SNO implementation knowledge is an added advantage
  • Open to travel when needed

Technical Skills:

  • JAVA, SOAP, HTTP, SSH, LDAP, JMS, SSL, SQL, XSLT, XQUERY, XML, WebLogic Administration, Bridging and SAF configurations, Oracle RDBMS

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts in written and oral communication

Educational Qualifications:

  • BE/BTech/MCA/MTech in any of this branch - Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications

Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
