We are hiring Senior and Principal Operations Database Administrators
Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with product development teams to design and build scalable, highly available, and high performing SaaS and PaaS infrastructures
- Write scripts to monitor and automate various processes
- Perform Cloud Operations maintenance actions including environment refreshes, provisioning, DB patching and other operational tasks
- Define and document system architectures, systems configurations, and technical operational processes and policies
- Install and configure fusion application environments and other assisted services as part of Oracle Public Cloud Service delivery
- Troubleshoot and document issues with applications, technologies, and infrastructure
- As part of Cloud Operations, Support 24/7 Customer issues raised on Oracle Cloud infrastructure
- Ensure Cloud Fusion service reliability and availability.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Experience operating on Exadata is essential
- Database Skills in RMAN, RAC, ASM, Data guard is essential
- Web Logic Server, and Oracle eBusiness Suite of Applications added plus
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Medium to Expert level of automation skills using one or more computer languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Java
- Experience with virtualization technologies will be advantageous
- Experience with tools such as mcollect, Puppet and Ansible will be advantageous
- Ability to think creatively and work independently
- Experience with the operations management of large fleet SaaS and PaaS services is highly desired.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
