Managed Cloud Services (MCS)

MCS Technical Operations provide software installation, upgrades, configuration and ITIL-based Change, Incident, Problem & Release Management activities during implementation, production go-live and post-production (run & maintain) phases of a customer's lifecycle. The IT  Principal Analyst is responsible for managing Oracle databases (11g, 12c and above) and Oracle eBusiness environments running with application versions, 11i, 12.1.X & 12.2.X.

   On a day-to-day basis this role includes supporting all of the technical and functional teams, developers and client’s business units with any environment requests with any environment requests. The IT Principal Analyst would be     expected to have at least 6-7  years of database administration experience and 4-5 years experience of eBusiness Suite Application experience. Job location is either Pleasanton, CA or Orlando, FL


Responsibilities include\: 

·       Managing and coordinating all aspects of the customer environment.

·       Production-support for database and Oracle eBusiness Applications environment.

o   Resolving Oracle Cloud Services customer outages by identifying, analyzing and resolving technical problems related to Oracle software systems. Troubleshooting skills are the key for success in this role and position.

·       Strong working knowledge of RMAN/ASM/Dataguard

·       Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture and install new versions of the Oracle as necessary.

o   Highly skilled in administering Oracle applications and databases on UNIX/Linux environments in both a single tier and multi-tier architecture

o   Database performance and recovery 

·       Troubleshoot problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools

·       Patch assessment and application in an Oracle EBS environment.

·       Working knowledge of different Operating Systems like Windows, Linux, Sun, shell scripting.

·       Co-ordinate with Functional, Infrastructure, Product Support and clients business units

·       Perform eBusiness application and database administration tasks

·       Assist in performance tuning as and when required.

·       Environment run book & procedure documentation.

·       Willingness to work in shifts including on weekends. Shift timings will be in Pacific time. 

 

Skill Sets required\:

The person fulfilling this role would preferably have 8 years experience within the IT industry and a minimum of 6-7 years Database administration (11g, 12c) and 4-5 years of Oracle eBusiness Application (R 11i, 12.1.X & 12.2.X) & experience along with working knowledge on other Oracle Technologies especially Fusion MW. The IT Principal Analyst should possess the following attributes\:

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
