Job Description

Oracle NetSuite is looking for an exceptional, self-directed Principal Product Manager to drive and lead Oracle NetSuite’s Access Management capabilities and potentially other key components of the SuiteCloud Platform. As a NetSuite product manager, your responsibilities will include understanding customer, developer, and partner needs, creating the product strategy, gathering requirements, handling feature backlogs, and working with global premier teams to deliver these features. 

To be successful in this role, you will need solid understanding of SaaS platform development technologies, thorough understanding of market shifts in access management technological trends, experience working with large development communities. 

Responsibilities:

Lead the development of overall product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Engineering and other business partners. 

Partner with Marketing, Sales, Professional Services and Support to successfully rollout our products and ensure a great end-to-end customer experience. 

Develop deeper understanding of the market and competition.

Participate in customer facing events and partner conferences as a product specialist.

Actively participate and evangelize SuiteCloud Platform in user forums.

Deeply understand the needs of current and target customers/developers through quantitative and qualitative research. Passionately represent the voice of both the customers and the developers.

Work with and influence various development teams and partners across the globe to ensure that the product development and delivery meets OKRs.

Drive discovery of desired capabilities with partners, user experience, and user research team by engaging internal and external customers.

Lead the product backlog and prioritize product enhancements, customer, and partner requests by making smart, crucial tradeoffs using data-driven analysis and sound judgment. 

Proactively conceive, document and drive the creation of new features. Create user stories, and detailed product requirements that clearly articulate desired product functionality. 

Promote adoption of software development methodologies such as design thinking, scaled agile, dual-track agile for continuous execution in discovery and delivery.

Collaborate with user research, user experience, development, QA, Documentation, and UI teams to deliver great products and tools for both the customers as well as developers.

Demonstrate leadership and vision when interacting with partners and serve as role model to other product managers

Qualifications/Skills:

7+ years of software Product Management experience or similar leadership experience

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal; English proficiency is a requirement.

Prior experience with SaaS, PaaS, and software platform development.

Domain experience in Access Management.

Self-starter who demonstrates the ability to lead critical initiatives 

Ability to synthesize complex problems and stay focused to maximize customer value.

Passion for and ability to understand customer needs and deliver great solutions. A track record for building products with exceptional user experience. 

Willing to try new things and drive critical change initiatives.

Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and product management processes.

Excellent prioritization skills. Ability to build a winning backlog and roadmap to achieve business goals while making difficult tradeoff decisions. 

Excellent communication. A track record of successfully working with a combination of local and remote development, QA, and technical writing team to deliver quality products.

Strong organizational skills: task prioritization, effective time management, meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, and risk identification and mitigation.

Computer Science or similar degree; MBA is a plus.

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
