About The Job

As part of the Cloud Engineering team you will be continually challenged and have an opportunity to contribute to our success every day, by building cloud services encompassing everything from software delivery to runtime instrumentation and debuggability.
As a Cloud Product Manager, you own the products, priorities and roadmaps. You will solve interesting technical challenges by driving engineering teams in the design, development, and operations of key Oracle Cloud services, platforms, and infrastructure, always thinking about reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance.
What You'll Do
The SaaS Cloud Engineering team is looking for a seasoned product manager to help us define and build the future of our Cloud and DevSecOps Toolchain. In this Product Management role, you will own the strategic planning, innovation, and long-term roadmap across the enterprise deployment, service management and monitoring tools portfolio. You will also be responsible for setting product management best practices, attracting, building, and hiring high-performing product management team members.
Your broad and deep background in product management will enable your success in driving the right Go-To-Market strategic elements that play a critical role in this Oracle SaaS offering. You will work closely with a diverse, highly intellectual and agile team with a direct line of sight to the impact your work has on Fortune 500 customers.
This role represents an incredible opportunity for cloud computing, coupled with the building an exceptional team that delivers high quality services and you will be at the center of setting the industry standard for DevSecOps tooling.
What You Need to Have
A BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience with building and leading deeply talented product teams with an emphasis on scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
• Experience with Scrum, XP, Lean and other agile practices and methodologies
• Understanding of UX/UI and API design patterns commonly used in creating internet and cloud services
• Notable ability to dive deep with content, messaging and technology
• Successful collaboration skills and tools that focus on earning trust with distributed teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5 year experience of developing and running large scale customer facing web services
• Most importantly, the aptitude to be a good team player and the willingness to learn and implement new Cloud technologies, tools and services as needed
What The Perfect Candidate Will Have
• Demonstrated success in delivering high quality technology products/services in a complex and high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
• Ability to prioritize and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, and opinionated team
• Proven experience creating and driving the right mechanisms for success. You have owned and run these elements like a business.
• Experience driving a global product and team with end-to-end inbound and outbound product responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
• Proven experience in the field of data analytics, machine learning and AI.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
