The job
Our design team works on a wide variety of products and services such as Customer Service and Sales (CX), Marketing (CMX), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Resource management (ERP), Performance Management, Analytics, Tools and more.
The CX team is responsible for the design of Oracle's Sales and Service cloud applications. We are looking for multi-faceted Product Designers to design clever interactions, high quality visuals and engaging experiences based on a deep understanding of our users & customers, and the complexity of their needs, tasks and objectives. We often work in close collaboration with our customers and get the opportunity to see the impact of our work on their work-lives.
The role of designers at Oracle includes the following:
- Building deep understanding of customers, stakeholders, business requirements, products and technologies.
- Designing and envisioning concepts and experiences to customer needs and objectives
- Adopt and extend the design style guide, patterns and templates
- Presenting concept visualization through sketches, wireframes, visuals and prototype
- Effectively and appropriately using sketches, wireframes, visuals, motion and prototyping to present concepts and turn functional solutions into compelling, consumer-grade experiences
- Quickly respond and adapt designs to (customer) feedback and business requirements
- Getting it done - Delivering designs and solutions at high quality and on schedule
- Understanding design trends within the scope of the industry
- Working with a wide range of media, including Figma
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and timeline restrictions

You will be designing solutions from concept, wireframes and prototypes to detailed, visually polished and scalable experiences, ready for implementation. Leverage the existing design style guide and system, templates and components where possible - create new patterns experiences where needed. What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of experience in UX or product design
- BS or MS degree relevant to product design or a proven track-record in a relevant discipline
- Portfolio demonstrating clever and beautiful user centered designs for products, applications and/or services. Experience in shipping (SaaS) applications is a plus.
- Demonstrate approach and experience in gathering requirements, including user research, and defining objectives and opportunities for projects and assignments
- Present (and defend) solutions, approach and choices made along the way
- Excellence in using Figma to create and communicate concepts, wireframes and detailed design solutions
As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of software engineering or related experience needed.
