Department Description:        
x86 OHD China Revenue Engineering (RE) team develops and sustains Oracle x86 server products for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Engineered systems (Exadata), and general purpose server market.   

Position: 
System QA Engineer in China RE Software group

Essential Functions: System quality assurance. Main responsibilities include:
- Review design specifications and write test plans, create/improve/automate test cases
- Execute test cases, analyze test results, file bugs and verify bug fixes, and provide test reports
- Work with other engineering teams to reproduce and debug issues
- Improve test tools, test environment, test process, test effectiveness, and test efficiency

Required knowledge/qualifications:
- BS degree or higher in CS/CE/EE
- 10+ years of system software/firmware whitebox/blackbox testing experience and familiarity with test automation
- Solid knowledge in x86 server architecture, PC technologies, and at least one OS including Linux (e.g. OEL), Windows, Vmware 
- Solid experience in virtualization, network, storage, and system performance testing
- Hands-on experience with configuring server systems with various nework and storage devices
- Familiar with one or more programming language, including Python, C, Java, Perl, tcl, and shell script
- Excellent team player who has good communication skills in both Chinese and English, and excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications:
- MS in CS/CE/EE
- Strong experience in test automation with solid Python programming skill
- Familiar with lab test infrastructure and IT environment install and setup

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design functional, integration and regression test plans, build and execute manual and automated tests and perform highly complex analysis for multiple products. Set cross-functional product testing standards. Analyze, evaluate and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve solutions to complex problems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
