The Communication Global Business Unit organization is seeking an experienced principal backend Software engineer to work in the 5G products.

 Responsibilities:

• Analyze and design new features for the cloud microservices architecture in place.
• Able to present and socialize design with the Architect groups and stakeholders.
• Developing top of the art solutions, with clean code and code coverage techniques
• Collaborate with other teams to help evolve existing products and capabilities.
• Contribute to the support/sustaining areas when there are bugs to be replicated and fixed.
• Develop Java applications following microservice architecture.
• Have a good quality to understand and proposed infrastructure changes.
• Mentor and guide other developer levels to archive performance goals and to build a stronger team.

  • Strong OO programming concepts and experience implementing design patterns.

    • Docker or any containerized product, Kubernetes, Helm charts
  • Shell scripting
  • Gradle or Maven

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
