Job Description

Trust is essential to cloud business. The SaaS Product Management team within Cloud Operations leads internal data governance practices that drive trust. On the Offering side, we manage hosting options like Government Cloud, Data Masking and more, which augment the base SaaS offerings to deliver enhanced services. We push the envelope by creating new innovative tooling for data governance and tracking in order to eliminate risks and introduce efficiencies. We identify and create new hosting offerings to match evolving customer needs. Analysis of customer priorities, competitive position, and market trends inform how we transform both practices and offerings. Successful candidates will have the curiosity, insight, vision, ideas, energy, teamwork skills and discipline to see opportunities through to high-quality deliverables.

General Responsibilities for the team\:
•    Product management and strategy for aspects of Oracle SaaS Engineering operations.
•    Team collaborator, own and be main point of contact for Oracle public cloud strategy initiatives.
•    Responsible for driving alignment of operational processes, product enhancements, and new product development to meet a unified cloud strategy.
•    Work with multiple business stake holders, field service personnel, and internal cloud development, operations, security and support teams.
•    Ensure that Cloud Operations service requirements are consistently understood, accepted, and prioritized across Oracle Cloud Service development teams.
•    Review new and acquired SaaS services for alignment to policies and practices prior to release.
•    Create and maintain technical documentation of cloud capabilities for field and customer/prospect consumption.
•    Create and maintain Oracle Cloud Policies content and practices documentation.
•    Project ownership of initiatives supporting and improving Oracle Cloud capabilities.
•    Sales Enablement through trainings and creation of FAQs and other collateral.
•    Provide tactical and strategic planning and direction for the Cloud Operations team.
Specific responsibilities for this role\:
•    Facilitate adoption by Development, Operations and Customer Support teams of new state-of-the-art governance tools and practices across all SaaS services.
•    Define metrics, track adoption, identify hurdles, champion solutions to fully adopt new tools ad practices.
•    Help teams identify opportunities and propose solutions for improvement in data governance practices.
•    Evangelize tools and practices both internally and externally
Key knowledge & skills\:
•    Experience with cloud computing environments, governance processes, user stories
•    Strong communication skills, effective across functions and at all levels of the organization
•    Metrics, metadata, tooling, analytics
•    Team player, change agent, requirements advocate, self-motivated
•    Business process optimization & alignment
•    Compiling and presenting analyses, strategies, projects & progress clearly in complex environments
•    Familiarity with cloud relevant compliance regimes (GDPR, CCPA, ISO27001, NIST/FedRAMP, etc)

!|!Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.!|!
