Your responsibility: “Do the right things” – that is the intention product portfolio management, in order to form a sustainable, profitable product portfolio. PPM defines what to sell to whom by when, formulates strategic product characteristics and prioritizes the R&D budgets allocation accordingly. As global product portfolio manager, you are the entrepreneur for the assigned product portfolio, giving guidance to operative LVM units with responsibility for the mid- to long term development of the product portfolio roadmap and financial performance.

Main Tasks / Priorities of the function

• Workout low voltage motor market segmentation w/ Hub PPM, Sales and R&D

• Collect market information and create the LVM Market picture as input for portfolio decisions

• Orchestrate PPM process in cooperation with the regional LVM Hub PPM and BU Portfolio Management organization in line with Business Unit process guidelines 

• Define global LVM portfolio innovation strategy in cooperation with the R&D department

• Define the Global R&D Invest strategy based on the portfolio needs in cooperation with the R&D department and the hub Product Management

• Active Product portfolio analysis and optimization based on economic targets set for the Business Segment 

• Define and track the defined portfolio measures in cooperation with the hubs

• Prepare and execute regular portfolio accounting workshops in cooperation with the hubs

• Prepare the portfolio status as input for the annual portfolio workshops of LVM and MC

Qualification

• > 5 year’s product portfolio management experience

• Good technical understanding of electrical motors and drives or related products

• Good moderation skills required

• Strong analytical capabilities

• Strong customer orientation & result driven

• Good intercultural skills & fluent English and Mandarin
