This is your opportunity to be a core part of the organization that defines and delivers programs that have OCI-wide and Oracle company-wide impact. We are seeking a candidate with strong program management and leadership experience in cross-org technical programs. You will work with 10 stakeholders inside and outside the organization and drive building innovative experiences in a fast-paced, startup-like environment that have a direct impact on the product.

Position Description

As a Director of Program Management, you will driving the business and engineering efforts across the Messaging and Observability organization.

The role will involve leading these programs and managing a team of TPMs/PMs and SAs. You will be responsible for processes, engineering and operational efforts that span across the org, as well as drive top-down OCI initiatives withing Messaging and Observability.  In addition you will be driving the capacity management, business analytics and driving customer insights leveraging our data stores

You will be the voice of our organization to the rest of OCI and Oracle for broad initiatives as well as .  You will lead a team, contribute individually and provide direction and mentoring to others. You will partner with key engineering leaders across OCI to help deliver on Messaging and Observability commitments as well as drive improvements in OCI that impact the broader org driving efficiency and effectiveness of initiatives.

Desired Qualifications\:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

·         5-7  years experience in managing large scale technical programs spanning multiple teams and organizations, from conception to delivery

·         Ability to lead multiple programs and manage team of TPM/PMs.

·         Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills 

·         Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

·         Ability to team with engineers, TPM/PM, product managers to establish and maintain our program

·         Setting expectations and insuring our programs meet our high standards for excellence

·         Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations and individuals

!|!Manage people for product development programs or projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers.

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Prefer seven years of project management, product design or related experience.
