PoC Engineer SBC - Job Description
 
A SW Engineer is a person who collaborate with CGBU staff members to build, test and support several technologies used by business unit. Responsibilities include analyzing process flows, consulting with clients, preparing design documents, taking part in project meetings, and supporting pre-sales staff. The person should demonstrate customer service skills, creativity, business analysis, strong communication abilities and must be excellent in maintaining good relationships. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies should be necessary to be able to talk with arguments in front of the customers.
 
    •    The consultant will be responsible for the PoC implementation of solutions based on Oracle/Acme Packet products like SBC, SLB, SRP, SM and ECB having as the key challenges to install, configure and demonstrate on different customers based on North America and Latin America.
    •    Develops the technical documentation necessary to satisfy clients requirements related with Oracle CGBU products and Cloud Solutions (Design Document, Test Plans, etc.).
    •    Works closely with Sales consultant members to analyze customer technical environments and to participate in strategic selling initiatives by providing high quality responses to technical needs and concerns.
    •    Develops relationships and instills confidence with customer’s technical management, as well as with customer R&D and Service Deployment engineering organizations.
    •    Provides vision/guidance to regional teams on technology requirements and trends to align product road maps with customers’ strategies.

Technical skills
    •    Knowledge of IP networking (LAN/WAN, routing, protocol)
    •    Knowledge of IP telephony protocols (SIP, ENUM, RTP, WebRTC etc.).
    •    Knowledge of encryption IPSec, TLS, IMS-AKA
    •    Knowledge of NFV and Cloud environments.
    •    Knowledge of Linux OS.
    •    Understand Unified communications architectures (Avaya, MSTeams, Cisco, etc)
    •    Understanding of IMS/VoLTE architectures
    •    Desirable Experience with MySQL

 

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
