The Provisioning Project Manager is responsible for managing short turn around projects to provision new environments for Oracle Managed Cloud Services customers. Working mainly with the Transition Management team, you will be responsible for coordinating global teams involved in provisioning and making sure that deadlines for delivery are achieved.
The successful individual will be expected to be flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of our customer base. You must possess the ability to successfully coordinate and deliver small projects against time and quality objectives working closely with Service Delivery Managers (SDM), Operations Managers (ODOC), Implementers, 3rd Parties, the Customer and other members of the OMCS Delivery organization.
Distinguishing Characteristics\:
You will have 1-5 years of technical, service delivery or project management experience. It would be an advantage if applicants were to come with experience from OMCS, Consulting or similar service organisations within the IT industry.
Responsibilities\:
- Manage designated OMCS Provisioning activities
- Supervise and advise the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and Transition Manager (TM) during the provisioning process for EMEA customers
- Coordinate the production of the environment provisioning requirements in conjunction with the SDM and TM.
- Raise and track all necessary work-requests for environment provisioning, and provide regular updates to the provisioning portal.
- Attend the daily provisioning escalation call and escalate as needed
- Perform a daily check of provisioning Service Requests and follow up on any outstanding actions
- No direct reports, but coordinate a virtual global team of OMCS technical resources
- Work closely with country based OMCS Service Delivery and Transition Managers
- Work as required with designated Oracle Customers, Implementers, Partners and 3rd parties
- Work on OMCS Delivery service improvement initiatives as required
Qualifications\:
TECHNICAL SKILLS\:
- University degree or other relevant experience, preferably in Computer Science.
- Basic technical knowledge or understanding of different IT platforms e.g. UNIX, Linux, Windows
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Database or Oracle Applications
- Knowledge of Networking or communication technologies would be a benefit.
- Use of Microsoft Excel / Word.
- Project Management experience or qualifications preferable.
PERSONAL SKILLS\:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Another European language i.e. French, German, Italian, Spanish is desirable.
- Good organization skills are required to coordinate multiple provisioning projects within a single customer and manage several customers simultaneously
- Good communication skills; both written and verbal, to interact with cross-organizational teams as well as global teams.

!|!As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.As a Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer*s IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client*s site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should have knowledge of some Oracle products and one platform that is being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from senior engineers and management and, in some areas may work independently.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis, while constantly achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction is essential. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred with two years related experience.
