We're looking for a highly motivated and smart engineer who will be responsible for testing Oracle Linux, kernel and Cloud products.

Required Skills:

•     Good programming skill in shell / python / C language and designing skills
•     Good working experience with Cloud infrastructures and SCM like SVN, Git
•     Good understanding of Linux OS and OS concepts - multi-threading, concurrency, memory  management,filesystems  and I/O subsystem, service management
•     Good understanding of packaging and userspace in Linux
•     Familiarity with virtualization solutions such as KVM would be good to have
•     Good verbal and written English communication skills
•     Ability to work independently and in a team environment which is global/distributed
•     Some Experience working with an agile technologies
•     Self motivated and ability to deliver quality solution in a fast paced environment & timely delivery of the project

Specific responsibilities:

    Will be responsible to research new features for UEK kernel, Oracle Linux distribution and Cloud requirements, develop test plans, test and automate testcases, maintain test suites and triage of issues.
    Working closely with other developers to Debug/troubleshoot issues and/or provide suggested fixes where feasible
    Contributing to QA test framework and processes and as well as work-flow improvements for CI type of testing
    Work/engage with engineers globally for effective communication and results

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
