As a Business Strategy Consultant within our Strategic Enterprise Transformation (SET) group, you'll have the unique opportunity to be a part of a team of high performing consultants driving IBM’s ongoing transformation.
Our consultants drive large-scale change that spans IBM business units, functions, and geographies. You will work directly with internal clients on key initiatives to understand their business issues, identify opportunities, define success metrics, develop project approaches and implement complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

Job Duties:
As a Business Strategy consultant in the Strategic Enterprise Transformation group, you will:

• Set the strategic direction and create business cases for enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including developing the methodology for assessing benefit levers and the associated value proposition
• Partner with executive project sponsors at the highest level of the organization to drive IBM's transformation agenda; lead regular sponsor briefings to ensure ongoing visibility and support
• Develop, nurture, and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across the enterprise to ensure sponsorship, adoption and advocacy throughout the initiative life-cycle
• Facilitate design workshops with stakeholders, sponsors, and end users to identify key pain points, generate big ideas and solutions, prioritize actions, and attain business buy-in
• Manage large-scale, complex programs with multiple work streams by defining and executing the project approach, work plan, and project governance
• Reinforce the Agile transformation of the enterprise by leading project teams practicing Agile principles and ways of working
• Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills by setting and pursuing stretch goals
• Shape our next generation of consulting talent by mentoring, motivating, coaching, facilitating diversity and providing continuous feedback for team members
• Drive practice development initiatives including thought leadership, culture building, team engagement, community involvement, etc.

Skills preferred include: business and strategy consulting, project and program management, ability to challenge and manage senior stakeholders, think conceptually and bring “out of the box” ideas forward, “servant leadership”, bench-marking analysis, competitive and market analysis, business case development, strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills, and excellent collaboration and team management skills.
 

Introduction

As a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. You'll manage complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• This is a highly visible internal strategy consulting position in support of IBM's future state enterprise transformation program.
• Experience in management consulting is required. 
• This team directly supports IBM’s internal enterprise transformation by identifying candidate opportunities, assessing their risks and benefits, and supporting selected project implementations.
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 10+ years of business and management consulting experience

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• MBA preferred
• Enterprise transformation experience
