We are looking for a person who has the quality of Supplier Quality Manager. This role will work closely with teams located in both the US, China and Taipei throughout the design cycle. As a member of the SQM team, be responsible for supporting image and optical parts manufacturing (camera lens, cover glass, ICR cut filter, ALS LED and image sensor), providing design recommendations to the design team (PD & IQ), driving engineering studies, and improving part yield rate, be responsible for closely monitoring and driving the above activities at suppliers. will work closely with the PM, GCM and SCM team on giving timely feedback of technical risk, and continuous communication of the status of engineering issues throughout the product development cycle to a cross functional audience. This role will need to travel to China and SEA up to 40% of the time to support supplier factory audit.

Evaluate potential suppliers for their manufacturing and quality management capabilities based on project needs.
· Develop and implement the supplier quality management plans.
· Conduct the design and manufacturing risk through NUDD and FMEA methodologies. Conduct drawing reviews with suppliers to assess Design for Manufacturability, and collaborate with Product Designer to release feasible designs.
· Identify the critical characters and critical processes to quality, drive the supplier to build feasible fixtures and testers accordingly.
· Align the measuring methodology between suppliers and CM. Use the statistical tools to analyze the correlation from measuring equipment.
· Drive PPAP deliverables in new product introduction phases to ensure the readiness of the supplier’s manufacturing / Assembly processes and quality controls before each build:
o Conduct 2D drawings review and close loop with product design engineer.
o Review and approve DFM for tooling and fixture kick off.
o Work with design engineer and DQA engineer to develop/implement/monitor reliability validation plan for early detection of quality issues to ensure parts meet quality and reliability requirements.
o Analyze data on FAI/CPK reports to assess supplier’s capability to meet design intent and be able to provide technical recommendation on yield improvements.
o Drive FACA analysis for major quality issues at suppliers.
o Conduct the Measuring System Assessment (MSA).
o Review progress of development activities at supplier scene and conduct the process sign-off assessment to ensure the supplier’s manufacturing / quality meets the requirement.
· Work with Global Supply Managers to assess supplier readiness to support build events and production ramp. Identify potential execution issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.
· Initiate, explore and track ongoing improvement of product quality issues at suppliers. Work with supplier on yield performance and drive improvement actions for top failures to meet mass production goals
