WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join the Oracle NetSuite Platform group, in Barcelona.
The Platform group delivers fundamental pieces of the Suite experience across the partners, implementors and customers ecosystem. The group footprint is expanding, and we’re looking to bring onboard a well-seasoned designer to join the brand-new team in charge of enabling our users to build rich UI applications on top of our platform using a the new NetSuite.
As the lead designer in this space, defining layout configurations, content or system functionality that enable users to define new experiences will play a central role. Being the advocate of the target persona, a JavaScript developer responsible for tailoring the NetSuite experience to meet the business needs, will be one of your main objectives.
For the ideal candidate, delivering rich customer-experiences that help tell the user experience story is as important as bringing empathy and a user-centric approach to the problem.
We need an analytical problem solver, not intimidated by involving people in work methods to get to the smartest solutions/recommendations for business processes solutions.
Working in teams to deliver against a roadmap, understanding and validating requirements, grooming your ideas and iteratively making progress until you get to the ideal design solution/direction.
ROLE
Deliver design solution from research and insights all the way to design deliverables\: task flows, customer journeys, information architecture diagrams, low fidelity mockups, interaction specifications and prototypes;
Facilitate and apply collaborative methodologies to produce user centric solutions;
Lead presentations to executive stakeholders in which you’ll be expected to make business-changing recommendations based on customer research, behaviours, competitive analysis and other variables;
Working in teams to deliver against a roadmap, understanding and validating requirements, grooming your ideas and iteratively making progress until you get to the ideal design solution/direction together.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Solid and relevant experience in the field of User Experience Design, preferentially in the Enterprise domain.
Sound awareness of technology and project constraints as they apply to the design of innovative experiences.
Experience working in Agile Development methodology is a plus.
A track record of solving complex experience design challenges.
A strong portfolio with work demonstrating your problem-solving ability using Design Thinking methodologies\: problem analysis, personas, scenarios and user journeys, sketches, wireframes, prototypes or other relevant design artifacts.
Fluent in English, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work with geographically distributed teams and wiling to travel.
!|!Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of software engineering or related experience needed.
