Department Description

The Sales Compensation and Reporting Analysis Team is responsible for reviewing and validating of sales credit data and reporting for Premier Support Sales in the Global Support Renewals organization. The team works very closely with the Global Business Ops Compensation, Global Compensation Admin as well as Finance teams to ensure that all sales credits related functional and administrative activities are aligned with Oracle's overall compensation policies and strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

Verify, review and ensure that sales credit data from various Premier Support renewal transactions are reflecting accurately and consistently in the Sales Compensation tool in accordance to Sales Compensation Terms & Conditions set by Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) team as well as Employee's Available to Renew (ATR) Sales Target in Territory Management (TRM) tool. Determine eligibility of sales credit relief and other transactions under GIC approved bonus programs and input and track sales credit data in Sales Compensation and  SPIF (Sales Promotion Incentive Fund) tools. Liaise with Global Business Ops Compensation, Territory Planning and Field Operations teams to maintain Sales Rep role, territory and hierarchy setups in the Sales Compensation tool.

Work closely with Global Business Ops Compensation team on all matters related to compensation policies and strategies, including review and analysis of sales credit data and reports. Assist the Premier Support Sales and Field Operations teams in addressing and resolving all sales credit related transactions and queries in the Sales Compensation and SPIF tools. Prepare and analyze sales credit reports in the Sales Compensation tool. Define and maintain process documents related to verification and adjustment of sales credit data and reporting in the Sales Compensation tool. Participate in user testing in sales compensation related tools and applications. Leverage and share business practice and knowledge within the team and among stakeholders.

 

Requirement and Skills

Completes own role independently within defined policies, procedures and given timelines. Good analytical skills and attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bachelors Degree in a business discipline or equivalent with at least 5 years relevant work experience preferred.

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 2 plus years relevant work experience.
