Job summary
Amazon’s Stores Security organization is seeking exceptional Security Engineer to join our team in Beijing China. Security Engineers are unique individuals prepared to relentlessly resolve security issues by gathering and analyzing event data and conducting root-cause analysis. If you enjoy analyzing system services and applications from a security perspective, and you are skilled at discovering security issues that appear under new threat scenarios, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity. You will participate in the design, build and deployment of security controls and security-focused services as well as provide consultation, architectural review, risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and security reviews of many elements of Amazon’s systems and mobile app.

Key job responsibilities
• Advise and consult with internal customers on mobile app security and compliance testing, risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation
• Evaluate, architect, implement, and support security-focused tools and services
• Experience and Knowledge of Android/iOS devices, Mobile App Security and Compliance, Cloud Security and Application Security fundamentals
• Leverage your strong teamwork skills as you and your teammates engage with other engineering and operations teams spanning the entire technology stack - mobile app, endpoints, networks, databases, and applications - to engineer and deploy cutting-edge defensive solutions to modern threats
• Use your understanding of authentication protocols, core system, mobile and application security principles along with your up-to-date understanding of modern attack patterns and methods to drive security into tools used by Amazonian's every day
• Evangelize security within Amazon and be an advocate for customer trust
• Perform penetration tests based on project requirements
• Review the incident response plan
• Register all risks in the centralized risk repository
About the team
Amazon Stores Security, Security Foundations, InfoSec China team has variables of responsibility in China region and exclusively supporting the Amazon China business entities locally. Additionally, the team operates under the direction of Amazon Security Regulatory Compliance (SRC) Office of CISO and serves as first point of CN regional engagement contact in partnering with Amazon Security teams, Legal, HR, Public Policy, Security Operation, Application Security, Third-party Security, and CDO Privacy for all CN related security and compliance requests.
