As the Senior Advisor for Project & Customer Finance China you will report into the  Project & Customer Finance function and will interact with the broader financial community in China and various departments/units in sales-financing related matters within the Siemens group.

Your responsibilities will be among others the following: 

• Structure, arrange and implement project-specific financing solutions for customers of Siemens Energy in China for both domestic and overseas markets.

• Support in the analysis of project risk profiles and structuring of acceptable risk profiles as well as bankable risk profiles (e.g. in performance contracting models / independent power producer projects).

• Contribute to financial asset management (e.g. sales of receivables, supply chain financing programs) as well as financial risk management (e.g. securitization of payments).

• Act as Siemens Energy’s interface to the financial community in China, especially Chinese export credit institutions, e.g. Sinosure, China Development Bank, China Exim-Bank and Belt and Road Initiative-relevant financial institutions

• Interface to international financing institutions/multilaterals based in China, i.e. AIIB and NDB 

• Support in the development of new business models (with integrated financing solutions).

• Support in the analysis and structuring of on-balance sheet financing solutions provided by Siemens Energy operating units (e.g. suppliers' credits or equity investments in project companies) and support in the internal approval process, including preparation of relevant documents.

• Support in the development of regional and country strategies and project selection.

• Support bid team in financial issues in the preparation and submission of offers (e.g. provision of financing offer) as well as project management in the implementation phase (e.g. claim management).

• Provision of Sales trainings for the topic "Financing"

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or finance

• Minimum 7 years working experience in the areas of Export and/or Structured Finance, experience with Chinese export credit institutions would be a plus  

• Knowledge of the energy sector, e.g. key players, stakeholders and markets would be desirable

• Structuring and negotiation skills and sound knowledge about project or structured financing and instruments of risk management in financing 

• A team player with a strong sense of ownership and communication skills and able to work in a multicultural environment

• Decent learning agility and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Chinese and English
