Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

The main purpose of the Senior Accountant is to ensure correct management and monitoring of accounting general ledger in accordance to GFM and local requirements with a focus on Inventory, Accounts Receivable, promotion/FOC activities, AP creation and intercompany reconciliations. The function will have a crucial part in making sure the accounting team executes month-end close activities timely and in accordance to IFRS.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory

• Goods in transit reconciliation (goods invoiced against goods received in the DC), GIT GL accounts analysis
• Retail GIT review checks - tracking goods transferred from our DC to the stores or vice versa, RTL GIT GL accounts analysis
• Inventory on Hand - month end standard cost of sales rate adjustments and reconciliation (between Materials Management module and General Ledger)
• Cost of Sales Standard - month end standard cost of sales rate adjustments for goods sold AP
• Vendor opening in SAP
• Vendors WHT preparation for tax requirements
• Group AP reconciliation for BV and AG
• AP idocs clearing in SAP
• Dummy TP clearing for month end Promo/FOC/Employees uniform
• Promo transactions posting adjustments (Inc. issuing an invoice accordingly)
• FOC transactions posting adjustments (Inc. issuing an invoice accordingly)
• Employee uniform transactions posting adjustments (Inc. issuing an invoice accordingly) Accounting
• Regular filing for good record keeping
• Ensure timely bookings and reconciliation of all group AP accounts
• Ad hoc analysis as required from time to time by various departments
• Support retail payment types implementation against global/SAP contacts (inc. tests reviews)
• Support new store opening from finance side
• Praxell review checks
• Monitoring and implementing new regulations coming from Credit Card companies or Bank of Israel    Key Relationships: The main stakeholders/customers to be dealt with:

  • KPMG Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Strong bookkeeping knowledge and Israeli tax legislation
  • Strong process understanding of accounting relevant processes
  • Good English knowledge and strong communication skills
  • Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP a plus) Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 
  • certified 1+2, 3 Bookkeeper
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in the respective area
