The Service Engineering Group develops cutting-edge technology solutions to enable the Oracle Cloud services businesses.  As Senior Business Intelligence Developer you will be expected to deliver innovative technical solutions building warehouse, BI model and reporting for cloud services. This includes the ability to design and implement complex enterprise systems involving Oracle technologies and primarily Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition/OBIEE.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Key tasks include but are not limited to the following:

• Discuss and evaluate application requirements;
• Liaising with technical architects & delivery teams to ensure technical consistency;
• Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI systems, reports, and data model.
• Database and data warehouse design;
• Design and implement ETL solutions;
• Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary. 
• To develop and maintain direct relationships with the appropriate external and internal stakeholders;
• Act as an evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant projects

QUALIFICATIONS: Although not definitive, the ideal candidate will typically have the following:

• At least 4 years of relevant business intelligence experience. 
• Strong experience with Oracle database SQL/PL SQL and basic administration.
• Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.
• Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree;
• Experience of working with Oracle development tools & technologies is an advantage.
• Knowledge Agile methodologies.
• Experience of working with large development teams; 

 

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
