Amazon Web Services has implemented a number of corporate social responsibility programs in Greater China region, including a program designed to promote machine learning education among younger generation located in remote areas.
Amazon Web Services seeks a self-motivated, detail-driven, high-judgment, and experienced corporate social responsibility manager to drive its CSR programs in Greater China. This role will work with relevant internal and external stake holders to design and manage the company’s CSR programs in Greater China, drive program implementation, manage budget, and own the program outcome. It also includes identifying, engaging, and building long-term relationship with the right CSR partners to ensure the quality of program implementation. The CSR manager will also partner with HR on employee volunteer activities and marketing and corporate communication team on enhancing the company’s corporate reputation and promoting the CSR programs through earned and owned media and social channels. In the long run, this role is also expected to work with the Greater China leadership team to define and design the company’s CSR strategy and drive the company’s CSR initiative strategically. The ideal candidate possesses extensive program management experience, is familiar with local non-profit organizations landscape, is experienced in managing diverse internal and external stakeholders, and can exercise high-judgment while acting quickly. This role is based in Beijing and will require domestic and international travel when situation allows.


Key job responsibilities
· Define the company’s CSR strategy by aligning with business priority and resources
· Design local CSR programs through leveraging the company’s education and technology resources
· Drive program implementation, including building clear mechanism and success formula, manage internal and external stakeholders, and manage day-to-day operation more
· Identify appropriate CSR partners, and build long-term relationship with them
· Develop appropriate activities around the program, such as school visits, volunteer events, and more, to further engage with program participants, employees, and external stakeholders
· Work with PR and marketing team to create messaging, compelling stories and drive media exposure and social buzz
· Manage budget effectively
· Produce internal and external CSR reports
