The development group in the Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit is focused on developing Next generation Enterprise level SaaS solutions for our customers in project intensive industries. Our applications provide project and portfolio management, Schedule Management, contract management, resource management, and risk management solutions used by large world leading companies in Construction and Heavy Engineering space.

 

Brief Posting Description

We are seeking a DevOPs developer for the Cloud Engineering team who will be responsible for developing solutions to improve Oracle CEGBU's suite of Cloud Products by collaborating with Product Designers, Software Developers, QA, and Operations.

 

Minimum Requirements for the role:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, API design, and databases

• 2+ years of experience developing solutions with terraform, shell scripting and  python.

• Experience with Jetty/Weblogic and Oracle DB are preferred.

• Experience developing cloud-native applications and deploying to a Cloud environment (OCI is preferred)

• Experience working in a DevOps methodologies.

• Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodology

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field

 

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
