We are seeking a senior engineer to join our development team located in Reston, Virginia or Redwood City, CA. The team is responsible for development and maintenance of the "Oracle Advanced Support Platform" a fully integrated, ITIL-based framework that supports the delivery of multiple Advanced Customer Services and Support Services offerings from Oracle.
You will be responsible for maintaining our continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and infrastructure and software configuration management. You will perform tasks related to installation, configuration, operations, monitoring of and updates to our development infrastructure. Our development infrastructure is principally Docker and Kubernetes-based but also includes Weblogic, Apache Tomcat and Oracle Database. You will contribute to the processes and policies of the Engineering team as they relate to continuous integration, deployment, promotion and release.
As a member of the Services Engineering team, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
Sustain and enhance continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines using Jenkins, shell scripting and groovy scripting.
Install, configure, operate and patch laboratory infrastructure related to CI and CD pipelines.
Collaborate with internal teams on process automation initiatives to accelerate development efforts
Provide support for the build and deployment infrastructure in pre-production environments
Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
The candidate must have\:
7 years of software engineering experience
Experience engineering continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines with Jenkins and groovy scripting
Experience deploying images to Docker with Kubernetes
Experience writing playbooks using Ansible
Experience with developing Infrastructure-as-code. Terraform experience preferred.
A solid understanding of SDLC and configuration management tools and principles.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Ruby or Python
Other Tools\: git, Artifactory or Nexus
Technologies\: Java, Linux
Database administrator skills with Oracle RDBMS is desirable.

You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
