We work in a great, diverse team provide service in a challenging environment. Currently we are looking for candidates for
Senior Linux Administrator job position.
 
Typical activities:

• Installing and supporting server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities,
• Modifying operating system configuration and maintaining server services,
• Managing file systems and system resources,
• Analyzing and maintaining operating system log files,
• Applying operating system patches,
• Recommending operating system updates and configuration modifications,
• Problems investigation,
• Cooperation with other technical and non-technical teams.

Introduction

System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of and access to our most important resource: data.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with Linux as server,
• Knowledge about troubleshooting + hardening of operating system,
• Understanding of:

• network - routing/firewall/vlans,
• virtualization (kvm, RHEV, vmware),
• monitoring tools (Splunk, OVO, ITM),

• Experience with LDAP,
• Create /manage playbooks,
• Deep understanding SSH, NFS, PAM, PXE, HTTP/S,
• Experience in scripting languages: python, bash (as plus: perl, c, c++, javascript),
• Experience with Rest API, SOAP,
• Knowledge about expect command,
• Configuration mgmt: puppet, ansible, bigfix/iem.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

as a plus: achieved certificated from RedHat, SUSE, LPIC
