We are looking for a candidate who will work on Linux Release Engineering. The candidate will join an existing team in Prague and will work on the Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) product with other engineers from US, Ireland, India, and UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implementation, and enhancements of CI/CD processes
• Building and releasing Private Cloud Appliance and Oracle Linux packages and images
• Setup and maintenance of build nodes in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Maintenance of source code
• Maintenance and building of RPM packages, Docker images, HEML charts, and other artifacts.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Good understanding of Linux/UNIX fundamentals
• Python and shell scripting
• Containers and Kubernetes
• Working experience with maintaining and building RPM packages
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins)
• Reliability, multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Good English communication skills (oral and written)

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Elementary knowledge of C or Java
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure provisioning, Terraform. 
• Virtualization and VM technologies

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
