Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and manage a high-performing team of project managers focused on building, upgrading and migrating cloud environments
- Develop and mentor staff including performance assessments, salary adjustments, recognition and disciplinary actions
- Collaborate with partner organizations such as Cloud Operations, Application Management, Consulting and Sales to manage all deliverables required to build, upgrade and migrate customer environments
- Anticipate and proactively remediate project issues and escalate those issues to management as-required
- Strive to consistently improve customer satisfaction, delivery times and service levels while reducing costs
- Create and contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and customer service
- Assist Sales teams in customer facing environments promoting Oracle products and services
- Excel at strategic planning and communication
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or computer related field 10+ years related experience leading a best-in-class project management organization
- Must have a broad, strong technical knowledge which encompasses data center technologies including hardware & design, LAN/WAN networking, database, platform and application.
- Experience with building and managing high performing teams
- Must be able to demonstrate history of good commercial business aptitude
- Must be an exceptional communicator and comfortable in presenting both in public and online to business and technical executives
- Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through other internal and external organizations and individuals (a track record of delivering results within a matrix business environment)
- Strong leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills required
- Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
- Sets high standards with respect to the treatment of customers and peer
Oversees plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with “internal customer” or department personnel. Organizes project activities that may entail interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
