Oracle is looking for a Software Developer 3 for the Oracle Database Cloud Development Tools & Integrations team. This team is responsible for architecting, developing, integrating, testing, and supporting Oracle Application Express (APEX) in all of the Oracle Database Cloud services, including Database Cloud Service, Autonomous Data Warehouse and Autonomous Transaction Processing. Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a low-code development platform that enables you to build stunning, scalable, secure apps, with world-class features, that can be deployed anywhere.
This role will be primarily responsible for frontend development with a focus on designing and developing user experiences for Oracle APEX and a variety of internal and external facing special projects. The ideal candidate will have mastery ofHTML, CSS and JavaScript, and has a thorough understanding of modern web development principles, fluency in CSS3 and the DOM, and tactical knowledge with JavaScript tooling such as node and gulp.
Technical skills
• At least seven years technical or professional experience developing web applications
• Mastery of CSS, including media queries, flexbox, animations, and css tooling such as sass and less
• Strong understanding of authoring clean and maintainable stylesheets and markup.
• Strong working experience with JavaScript for client-side interactions
• Mastery of browser developer tools and ability to inspect, debug, and resolve client side issues with page paint performance, scroll performance, etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
