Bronto Software is a 400-person US based
company that is starting a development office in Prague. We are owned by Oracle
but run as a separate business unit - this allows us to move like a startup
while having the stability of a large company. We create a product that helps
our customers personalize their customer communications. As an early hire into

Your network automation and engineering
skills will be essential to help build out the next generation data center and
architect the future cloud while pushing the envelope with scalability and
performance. You will be primarily
focused on automating network and security operations and deployment, while
also researching trending technologies and architecture. If you are up for the challenge of working

BS/BA degree in Computer
Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Or experience that proves
you can do the job!)

7 years directly working with
network and/ or security infrastructure
5 years supporting
production services in a 24x7 environment

problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, propose and
implement various technical solutions

Detailed Description and Job Requirements\:
Work as part of a team that is responsible
for the network backbone that keeps the company going. Implement and support security infrastructure
for the defense of organization. Research,
architect, design, implement and troubleshoot the full network and security
stack. Organize and collaborate with
functional teams and departments towards the goal of completion for given task
or project.
As a member of the engineering division,
you will directly contribute to the success of the product and ultimately the
company as a whole. The tasks and
responsibilities can vary on a daily basis and will require independent
decision making and action.
!|!As part of the Network Services team within Oracle's Global Information Technology organization, you will be responsible for the delivery of IT services to Oracle's businesses worldwide, these services include the management and delivery of network infrastructure.
Maintain (and monitor) records of equipment failure and liaise with engineers and suppliers as necessary - and recommend / implement changes to procedures and practices. Escalate client problems according to established procedures but exercising judgment in the process. Manage the network using network management tools, analyze network performance and recommend / implement network enhancements. Analyze network performance to ensure adequate bandwidth for business needs - and implement changes as appropriate. Working closely with 'global' network team / development recommend enhancements to the network infrastructure, and enhance proactive network management tool set. Troubleshoot network problems on the campus network, remote locations and the Irish wide area network though to resolution exercising independent judgment and creativity. Perform Project Engineering including specification definition, design of solution in compliance with corporate standards, implementation, testing through to production. Respond to monitor alarms to identify the root cause of an outage and coordinate the corrective action in a timely fashion. Provide technical and product leadership to management and contribute to Global IT policy. Provide on-call support services as needed and lead others in complex situations.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience and degree/diploma in computer science or IT discipline.
