About the role\:
The Oracle National Security Group is seeking DevOps Engineers that have a passion for customer service to the Intelligence and Law Enforcement Community (IC/LE); with a broad focus that includes software development, software deployment to support mission needs, and support through the cloud, managed service, or on-premises while the software is continuously functioning. Oracle NSG DevOps Engineers work with the operational side of the IC customers and manage the workflow to integrate software to smoothly function with automated processes. This position requires knowledge of computer programming languages.
DevOps engineers must have both management and computer programming experience. They work as part of a team to streamline the process of creating (development) and using computer software (operations) in an online environment where the mission capability is always functional. NSG DevOps Engineers build ways to deliver solutions that are continuously integrated within the specific architecture of a customer’s enterprise. Skills needed for this job include project management as well as systems analysis and computer programming.
Job responsibilities of an NSG DevOps Engineer include\:
- Being knowledgeable about new technologies, Oracle products and services and Oracle technical roadmaps to ensure the best techniques are employed
- Working to maintain security controls and compliance validation for the most sensitive mission needs

Preferred Qualifications\:
- Experience as a government civilian, through the military (reserve or veteran), as a contractor developer in the IC, and with a college degree in an IT discipline.
- Functional expertise and hands on experience as a DevOps engineer, software engineer, customer support or security engineer; with knowledge experience in developing solutions for cloud, data and analytics, cyber security, information protection, system administration, etc.
- Experience with Oracle technologies including the applicability and usage of Oracle technologies by customers
- Passion for technology, the curiosity and willingness to learn new skills, work with new tools and discover new and innovative approaches to solving complex technical challenges
- Understanding of security principals related to networking, data security, and cloud security
- Demonstrated experience with System Hardening, ATO, and patch installation post hardening.
- The ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and, vice versa, translate functional needs to technical solutions

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
