Overview

As part of NetSuite's Cloud Operations - Brands Tooling team, this Software Engineer will play a key role in our continued growth through automation and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

You will own projects to build internally-focused tools to do a wide range of tasks - automate and manage our development and production environments, help our engineers be more productive, measure "All The Things", and much more.  You will have opportunities to utilize a broad spectrum of technologies, languages and tools.  If you are a self-motivated and technologically curious person then we would love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• At least 7 years of full-time experience in software development
• Solid object-oriented design skills
• Experience and a desire to mentor other software engineers
• Expertise coding in Java and other object-oriented languages
• Expertise performing effective code reviews
• Comfortable with Linux environments including shell scripting
• Familiarity with monitoring tools with time-series databases and dashboards
• Experience working with Git or other versioning tools

• Can also work remotely within the Czech Republic

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
