Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect (SA) to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing OCI solutions to solve customer problems and drive customer success in Oracle's Cloud IaaS/PaaS business offerings.  The Specialist Solutions Architect will partner closely with the Product Management and Sales teams to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of OCI solutions, drive the product definition, prioritization and market launch of Oracle’s Government Cloud IaaS and PaaS offerings to support our Government Customers’ mission critical workloads and support Field Sales, Strategic Partners and ISVs in driving Customer adoption and success on the Oracle Government Cloud platform.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

·       Develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and 3rd parties to fully leverage Cloud IaaS and PaaS services.

·       Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help other SA’s understand how to integrate OCI s solitons into customer architectures.

·       The Specialist SA will partner closely with the Business Development and Sales teams, to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of OCI solutions.

·       Participate in deep architectural IaaS/PaaS discussions with customers, partners and Oracle field personnel to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

·       Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the field and internal teams.

·       Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

·       Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Strong verbal and written communications skills. Past experience writing and publishing technical white papers.

·       BS/MS degree\: Computer Science or Engineering degree with Technical background highly desired; Advanced Degree a plus.

·       Communicate complex ideas and topics to multiple audiences.

·       Be able to work with and communicate internally & with the customer at all levels, including engineers, end-users, partners to senior leaders.

·       5 years experience designing large-scale cloud, IaaS, PaaS solutions enterprise environment.

!|!Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
