What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a talented senior program manager to join our team in Barcelona.  You’ll be part of a team working towards accelerating the evolution of our product, processes and technology with the goal of delivering an extraordinary user and developer experience.

Your primary goal will be to drive the program management functions related to product software development for an innovative product development initiative.  You will serve as a senior strategic program manager and agile specialist helping to shape and manage longer-term initiatives that are designed to support broader, strategic business outcomes.

You are expected to have a deep understanding of agile concepts, to coordinate agile ceremonies, and to encourage and coach and agile mindset throughout the product development lifecycle.   You will be responsible for helping teams improve their workflow and help ensure critical processes are followed and continuously improved as needed.  This person needs to be able to embrace ambiguity and help drive change throughout the various product development teams and within program management.

This is an active hands-on role that will require a program manager who can break down complex challenges. You must also have an extremely developed ability to create relationships and impeccable attention to detail.

What You'll Do
  • Define and oversee a list of dependent projects or programs needed to reach the strategic program’s overall goals.
  • Articulate a program’s strategy and objectives and assess how it will impact a business.
  • Ensure agile teams are maximizing how they are organized by collaborating, communicating, and managing risks and dependencies in order to help teams reach their strategic goals and meet long-term targets.
  • Guide how strategic plans are operationalized using agile methodologies
  • Hands-on creative problem solving in a cloud-driven enterprise software system.
  • Work with multi-disciplined teams of designers, user researchers, product managers and engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and small-group discussions.
  • Help to define, train and implement innovative processes.
  • Help communicate status and progress.
  • Explore how to make work flow more efficiently.
  • Keep communication flowing by bringing feedback to and from various teams.
  • Demonstrate a passion for iteration and eager to receive feedback.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope.
  • Draw inspiration and ideas from internal and external sources.
  • Breakdown obstacles and tackle them in a methodical manner in order to overcome them effectively.
  • Overall program management support and coordination of teams involved in helping reach the strategic program’s overall goals
  • Own the execution and project management of strategic projects by collaborating with stakeholders and reporting progress, updates, challenges, and solutions to leaders
  • Enlist teams, implement strategies, facilitate objective setting, and measure key results.
  • Consistently be on the lookout for the potential of combining projects by identifying conflicting, counteracting, duplicating or positively re-enforcing initiatives and associated risks  
  • Promote and coach agile values and practices.
    • Facilitate agile team rituals
    • Help review and tune process improvements across execution strategies and processes 
  • Help manage risks and dependencies
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
  • Act and advise proactively to remove the impediments that prevent the team from achieving its goals.
  • Coordinate deliverables by working directly with team throughout the organization
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver a valuable product to customers.
  • Support Product Management, especially for backlog to grooming and maintenance.
  • Improve transparency and ensure product and project information is easily accessible to the team, stakeholders and organization in timely manner
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame with emphasis of problem solving
  • Assist with internal and external communication

    • Experience with compliance, issue tracking, processing and tooling, SDLC, security, and PDLC, a plus

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
