As a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Engineer, you will lead assigned customer engagements to formulate key strategies/goals for improving business efficiencies using a consultative approach for Information Management strategy. This will include assessing the organization’s business process maturity, gaps and recommending improvements to meet the business goals aligned with the capabilities of Oracle’s technology portfolio. In this role you will be responsible for working closely with Oracle Sales to develop new business as well as to position Oracle Solutions to solve complex problems within the U.S. Federal Civilian market with an emphasis on solutions based on Oracle Public Cloud Services. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Oracle technology solutions including Oracle Database, Oracle Engineered Systems, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle’s IaaS and PaaS Cloud solutions.
- 5 years of experience in consulting/design/implementation with Oracle Data Management technologies like\: Infrastructure, Database, Data Security
- 3 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
- BS in Computer Science or Information Management or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to travel as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the Cloud
- Familiarity with common enterprise services from Oracle competitors (i.e., Microsoft, IBM, AWS and Google)
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives (up to C-level), IT Management, and developers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as event presentation on-site and via remote digital technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
