Job Description

Job Description\:

Expert level Solution Engineer responsible for leading and supporting pre-sales activity for Oracle Systems portfolio. This includes Exadata and other Engineered Systems, Servers, Storage and Private Cloud Solutions. Candidate must have strong knowledge in Oracle Database, Data management solutions, Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Solutions. This is an individual contributor position reporting to a Director and Head of Systems Solution Engineering, India

 

Qualifications`

 

·       Education\: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

·       Industry Experience\:

·       8-12 years’ experience in Presales / Solution Engineering / IT Architecture with relevant technology, IT Infrastructure and Databases

·       Has strong customer relationships with reference accounts in India North region

 

·       Oracle / Technology Experience\:

           

·       Minimum 5 years Oracle DB and related technology around security, availability, manageability, performance and scalability experience

·       Good knowledge of system and application design.

·       Good knowledge of competitors in Databases and enterprise hardware solutions.

·       Ability to lead deep discovery sessions with customers to uncover pain points

·       Demonstrated ability to map customer business challenges to technical solutions

·       Demonstrated excellent project management skills.

·       Demonstrated ability to solve difficult problems with accounts, in complex technical environments.

·       Demonstrated good sales and marketing skills.

·       Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Must be able to articulate the business value of the solution and handle objections effectively.

·       Understanding of various Cloud technologies and ability to differentiate various vendors and solution offerings

·       Understanding of newer data management paradigms around the BigData ecosystem would be beneficial

·       Good understanding of storage and hardware technologies

·       Basic understanding of networking technologies

·       Develop and deliver outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

·       Attend and impart appropriate internal and external training as guided by management.

·       Actively participate in career and goal planning with management.

·       Aligning to organizational business priorities and initiatives.

!|!Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.!|!
