Job Description

The Sales Manager will report into the ANZ Director of Sales and is responsible for sales of all NetSuite product lines exclusively into an assigned territory. The successful candidate will lead a team of specialist Lower Mid-Market Sales Executives to expand the territory focused on new business sales. The Sales Manager will be responsible for building pipeline and over achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for new business. The Sales Manager will work cross functionally with Sales Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services designed to improve selling success and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hiring, developing, and ultimately making successful sales professionals.
  • Manage the business to (over) achieve key sales targets.
  • Developing and executing a sales plan that supports short and long term goals.
  • Setting expectations with senior sales management through timely and accurate forecasting, pipeline and sales activity reporting.
  • Supporting sales professionals, as required, during any stage of the sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, evaluation, and close
  • Motivating individuals to succeed through impassioned leadership, coaching, development of creative sales incentives, and broadcast of results
  • Internalizing and delivering the value proposition clearly and persuasively to a variety of different audiences, including c-level executives
  • Developing a deep understand of the product offering, customer need, and competitive landscape while mastering and enforcing NetSuite Sales Policy guidelines.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years direct sales experience in Software or Business Services to end-users, familiarity with SaaS a plus.
  • Five+ years’ experience managing successful sales teams.
  • Can demonstrate and articulate deep understanding and success in the Retail vertical.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Candidates must be results-driven with proven ability to sell and project a positive, professional attitude with unwavering commitment to integrity and professionalism.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development.
  • The ideal candidate will ideally have a university degree, advanced degree a plus.
Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across all products and product lines.

Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas or sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Minimum five or more years sales or sales management experience within technology industry. Ability to hire and train new sales representatives. Ability to resolve customer satisfaction issues. Demonstrated leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to large and small audiences. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions. Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution abilities.
