Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) is a part of Oracle Applications Development that runs Oracle software. OAL is responsible for implementing, running, and improving nearly all of Oracle's Enterprise Applications: CRM, HCM, Financials, SCM, you name it. We use Oracle's own real-life business requirements as a "test bed" for innovation. We often race out ahead of standard product and build extensions and custom applications to meet the needs of our 100,000-employee, Fortune 100 Company. Once proven, our ideas and innovations quickly find their way back into core product. We also ensure that Oracle is always Oracle’s best reference for our enterprise applications
Being part of the OAL team provides opportunity to work on the Oracle's Cloud CRM applications and theirs integration with other related modules using feature-rich JavaScript Framework (OJET), Typescript, Java EE and Spring technologies. It also provides opportunities to interact with Oracle’s product development and business user groups, thus providing unique scope for learning both applications technology and functional business processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design client-side, integration and server-side architecture
- Develope application frontend
- Write effective APIs
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Write technical documentation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years’ experience of full life cycle of application development project
- Strong understanding of programming logic, standards, patterns and algorithms.
- Familiarity with common stacks
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML) and frameworks (e.g. Oracle Jet, Angular, React, Node.js)
- Knowledge of back-end technologies (preferably Java, SpringBoot)
- Git, or other version control system
- Familiarity with web servers (e.g. WebLogic)
- Experience in Cloud based Application Development preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Aptitude to work as part of cross line of business teams.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in working in an agile development environment is a plus
- Education and experience expected (or similar):
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Oracle Technology product knowledge (Database, Development tools) and experience preferred
- Fluent communication in English
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
