About the team

A key driver of NetSuite’s success in meeting the needs of our broad customer base is the SuiteCloud Platform, a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) for customizing and extending NetSuite’s core capabilities. Customers build on the platform directly or install SuiteApps built on the platform by independent solution vendors. We’re looking for ambitious and creative developers with a track record for innovation in cloud-based applications and/or platforms to join NetSuite’s platform team, delivering the cloud’s leading software development lifecycle framework.  

What you will do

You will be designing and implementing developer tools for third-party developers working in NetSuite's scripting & customization platform. Our team mission is to design tools and processes that work seamlessly and allow our customers to design, develop, test and deploy their code to our platform. You’ll be thinking in IDE and CLI interfaces, continuous integration, testing and deployment. Keep in mind that all these tools should work in a cloud environment and should serve more than 40k companies. Are you ready for the challenge?

You will work closely with other development teams and departments, product management, user experience and QA to define and implement a new product offering while ensuring the continued functionality of the existing SuiteCloud Platform.

Qualifications/skills

• B.S. or Master’s in computer engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years’ software development experience
• 5+ years’ SQL database experience including schema design and development of efficient queries and PL/SQL
• 5+ years’ experience with Java (C# or similar)
• Understanding of HTTP, Internet protocols, web browsers
• Knowledge of Design Patterns, Object Programming Paradigm and SOLID principles
• Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements
• A solid understanding of metadata design and its use in the architecture of enterprise applications
• Experience in designing, architecting and implementing high performance scalable applications
• Very good written and oral communication skills in English are required
• Open mind for discussion and team collaboration
• Work permit for Spain is required for this role

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
