We are looking for a motivated and passionate Solution Engineer to join our organisation and to contribute to the growth of our sales and market share for EMEA Applications. The successful candidate will work with customers and prospects across EMEA, supporting end2end engagements and presales activities.
Role Requirements
As a Senior Solution Engineer you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision.
The person selected for this role will serve in the capacity of a Financial sales consultant working closely with the demo engineering teams, field Sales, Solution Engineering to build and deliver demos using Oracle’s cutting edge ERP technology in order to:
- Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying ERP solutions to meet customers’ needs.
- Run discovery workshops with customers focused on business challenges, objectives, pains and problems as well as more process focused sessions.
- Develop outstanding Oracle demonstrations and content.
- Build reusable cloud solution demonstrations.
- Create new industry-focused solution innovations.
- Convey the business value of Oracle solutions to meet customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in Accounting Basics (accounting debits and credits, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc) is mandatory
- Understanding the Financial Statements and financial business processes (eg: Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report) is mandatory
- Experience in managing the bid and proposal processes, including responding to RFI's and RFP would be a plus.
- University degree in either Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or comparable
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Italian is mandatory.
- ERP software implementation skills, resolving functional issues and project management skills or Consulting/Pre-Sales experience it’s a plus.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
