Banking Consulting Europe which is a part of EMEA Region under ‘FSGBU - Consulting’ delivers Oracle Technology and Applications solutions for clientele in the European region. The service offerings include Application Implementation, Managed Services and Customization development services for Oracle Financial Services Software Banking products.

The Role

What You’ll Do - Be the vital piece of the puzzle that connects us to the millions of businesses that need our help to evolve.

1. Develop programs as per specifications/requirements given by oracle/customer within planned schedule. He/she must use defined standards/tools/processes to achieve deliverable that meet quality expectations of oracle/client.
2. Document all work in accordance with agreed standards/processes applicable for oracle/customer.
3. Coordinate with offshore team for various technical deliverables including customizations and support teams for patches, fixes.
4. Adhere to defined Change Control Process of oracle/customer. Comply with oracle/customer audit/compliance requirements.
5. Ensure quality code delivery.
6. Perform proper handover/knowledge transfer at end of each assignment.
7. Timely status reporting to supervisor.
8. Timely submission of timesheets for oracle/customers

 

Required Skills/Experience

Primary Skills

1. You possess experience in end-to-end Development and / or Implementation and / or Support activities covering expertise areas such as design of customizations, Coding and Unit testing, executing Test cycle rounds including End of Days, migrations and Integrations for Oracle FLEXCUBE / Core banking products
2. You possess knowledge and skills in software programming in Oracle PL/SQL and Core Java, JavaScript and XML. Skills and experience in Java Microservices technologies is a plus
3. Hands-on experience in developing and deploying Releases, good expertise on source-control tools, taking backups and helping Bank teams prepare release-documentation both on-premise & cloud infrastructure.
4. Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings and solutioning workshops with the Customer
5. Track deliverables against timelines and milestones, and delegate/track with team members also towards their individual deliverables. 
6. You should be able to perform issue tracking for applications and follow-up for resolution of same with stakeholders
7. You possess good client interaction skills in areas including presentation of solutions
8. You have exposure to software deployment and troubleshooting on Application Server software especially Oracle Weblogic
9. You have exposure to analysis of Oracle Database AWR/ADDM reports and troubleshooting of database performance issues.
10. You have awareness of banking terminologies and concepts
11. You possess good skills on Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Powerpoint
12. You possess good communication & documentation skills in English

Secondary Skills

1. You have exposure to software development processes and practices, DevOps tools, Testing tools
2. You possess knowledge of Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, middleware such as Oracle Fusion SOA Suite
3. You are aware of latest technologies in Banking
4. Working knowledge on Docker/containerization, Kubernetes is an added advantage

Experience

1. Experience of 4 to 7 years with 2 years in primary skill areas
2. Experience in development and / or implementation and / or support of core banking applications.

 

Personal Attributes:

1. Fluency in English is a MUST and knowledge of Italian would be an added advantage

Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
