Detailed Description:

Global Business Unit Cloud Services (GBUCS) is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager who is passionate about problem solving and driving operational service quality for our industry leading cloud solutions.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will provide leadership and expertise to manage problems within our cloud database services, identify areas of improvement and drive home the solutions.

You will coordinate with cloud database operational team(s) and empower the team to drive root cause analysis and preventive actions for all database service impacting incidents.

You will perform event trend analysis to identify problem areas and drive actions needed to improve DB operational service reliability.

You will collaborate with other GBUCS infrastructure leads and Global Business Unit stakeholders in post incident analysis and problem reviews.

As a Senior Technical Lead, you will maintain overall understanding of customer impact incidents and apprise GBUCS senior management on database service quality and interruptions.

 
Technical Skills/Education:

• 10+ years of experience in database operational or similar service management role

• Broad understanding of all aspects of database technology and ability to articulate clearly solutions to problems within these areas

• Experience with Oracle red stack technologies

• Oracle Database Administration experience a big plus

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse technical and non-technical groups

• Strong problem solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• ITIL implementation / operational experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
