We are looking for a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join Oracle + Aconex. You will be working as part of a high-performing cross-functional team on a large Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) system, the most widely used online collaboration platform in the world for Construction, Infrastructure, and Energy and Resources projects.
Through collaboration and good engineering principles, you will use your automation experience to assist your team in developing good test coverage and take part in automation framework improvements.
Due to the requirement of the projects we will only consider Australian Citizens for this role.
As a Test Automation Engineer you will
- Design, write and enhance automated tests across both the E2E and integration layers.
- Perform both manual and automation testing to identify issues that prevent the application from meeting our high-quality standards.
- Have a keen eye for detail and contribute by providing feedback on feature design and usability.
- Actively look at ways to streamline and accelerate testing through the use of automation and re-use.
- Have a good understanding of other factors that contribute to quality such as performance, load, security, and reliability.
- Leverage your deep understanding of testing practices to collaborate with your team on acceptance criteria, testing activities and provide quality advocacy to encourage a shift-left approach.
- Actively contribute to the overall quality and delivery of the applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch using tools such as Selenium and Cypress.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience with web application and API testing.
- Experience in working within an Agile development environment
- Programming experience in either C#, Java or JavaScript.
- Ability to communicate clearly with different areas of the business and team members
Desirable:
- Experience in performance testing using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter or equivalent.
- Practical knowledge of web-based technologies and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL and database technologies.

Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.
As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
