What project would you be part of?
Our UX team is working on Visual Builder - a browser based "low-code" tool that enables users to rapidly create and deploy engaging Web and Mobile apps. More importantly, Visual Builder is front and center of the Redwood mission as it is the tool to be used to redesign SaaS Applications to match the design language and overall mindset. That means the Visual Builder will be heavily used by internal Oracle developers to rebuild the applications and by customers to extend or customize their functionality. Having these two distinct usecases provides interesting design challenges.
The Oracle design team is spread around North America and Europe and in Prague, we have a hub of Senior UX designers.
To join Oracle UX team means you get a chance to be part of a huge design overhaul for one of the Silicon Valley giants which is an opportunity of a life-time. You would be a proud member of the design team working on a tool which is crucial for the Oracle Redwood mission. We expect you will be learning, listening, helping others and make things done.
Core Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with other designers in the team on ongoing projects
- Work closely with the development and product management teams to design interfaces and experiences that streamline the work of software engineering teams.
- Compelling communication with the UX team and across disciplines (visual designer, researchers, UX designer from various countries)
Partially, you will help us with research. It is not the core responsibility but to let you know Prague’s team does conduct research, therefore this UX role is taken as A-Z designer.
Who we are searching for?
- UX Designer eager to learn. We do not care if you have 1 or 4 years of experience. We search for a designer who is able to make a good research, help other designers in the team to get things done. After some time we expect you to grow and become more independent.
- Designer speaking English on a very good level (the team in Prague is Czech speaking, your stakeholder are mostly US guys as well as product managers and your 2nd level manager).
- We use Figma for designing and prototyping but we do not mind if you are familiar with different tool (Sketch or Invision).
- Designer with good understanding of SW development life cycle, ideally with IT background. It is not a must; it is a big plus since users of Visual Builder are programmers and therefore you should be able to "think" as a developer.
What do we offer?
- Continuous and meaningful work on the product. It is not one-off action. The product improves continuously, and you are a significant contributor to its development.
- Very friendly company culture - no dress code, informal culture, etc.
- Work/life balance - home office and flexible schedule
- 5 weeks of holidays
