These are exciting times for Amazon Private Brands and for quality professionals eager to make a direct impact on the customer experience. In this role as the department leader of quality management, you will be responsible for both new product development and continuous quality management for Amazon's entire hard goods private label business. Our product offering spans multiple categories, including home & lifestyle, consumer electronics, furniture, toys, and B2B categories.

This position requires experiencing leading a department with multiple people managers, and developing a long term, sustainable strategy for quality assurance across a global business. In addition, this role offers the opportunity to shape Amazon's future product development process, and work on scaling initiatives to support multiple years of double-digit growth.


Requirements include;
· Ability to own all key quality department metrics by building the team and infrastructure to drive accountability.
· Outstanding judgment and decision making; the ability to make difficult decisions with ambiguous data
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritizing work across a large team, and delegating work load.
· Leading global quality assurance initiatives spanning both product quality and compliance and safety processes.
· Determining strategies and goals for improving department productivity
· Improving and evolving product development processes
· Mentoring staff
· Continuous learning and bench-marking to ensure the department stays cutting edge
